The OTIS-1 parallel rig is simple but versatile. Parts are made from anodized aluminum, brass and other weather resistant materials. All parts are sufficiently rigid that no flexing will occur with the added weight of two cameras, Dovetail locking surfaces maintain alignment of the cameras as the interocular position is adjusted.

 

Each camera mount consists of:

1. a movable carrier that can be locked into any horizontal position with the turn of a knob for adjusting the interocular (interaxial) distance

2. a calibrated rotational mount for accurately setting and locking the convergence

3. An industry standard quick release plate with a 1/4"-20 mounting screw and alignment pin

The horizontal rail can be mounted on shoulder mount rigs from Chrosziel, Zacuto and Redrock.

Each rig requires an adapter plate. The basic rig includes an adapter plate for mounting on a standard tripod head.
